The origins of Taxicab Partitions are a result of a tragic experience suffered by our founder, the late Orestes Rodriguez. During the early sixties, Mr. Rodriguez was a full-time taxi driver working in New York City. In 1968, Mr. Rodriguez suffered the loss of two very good friends who had been murdered in separate robbery attempts while working as taxicab drivers. The deaths of his friends had a profound impact on him. He decided to dedicate his life to protecting drivers. What started as a humble shop out of the Bronx, now serves taxicab drivers in every major city in the United States.
